Inspired by one of her dreams and first recorded on her phone, ‘Idea‘ is the latest single from Zambian artist MaConny. Boasting an infectious Amapiano sound, groovy synths and catchy hook, ‘Idea‘ represents somewhat of a revelation for the artist. MaConny was influenced by passage 1 Kings 3:9 and Philippians 4:13, both
of which speak of wisdom and expanding the mind. MaConny reminds us of how God can help strengthen and harness guidance for those in need. She aims to help children of bullying and people facing physical disabilities with the track, reminding that a change in mindset can come from just one idea. ‘Idea‘ is a fun listen with a
relatable and benevolent message for all. We only hope that the track receives the recognition it deserves in the lead up to her upcoming album.
Born and raised in Zambia, MaConny is an artist on a mission to fuse the messages of Gospel with the trending sounds of music. MaConny is something of a trailblazing artist in the African industry. At just sixteen-years-old, she earned herself a Prize of Excellence throughout Africa for her commeration song for the victims of the
Hiroshima 1945 bombings. She also composed a song, ‘Criminal‘, for Zambia’s first movie to show in cinema ‘When the Curtain Falls‘. After a hiatus to concentrate on her personal life, the singer would face surgery for a hereditary heart condition. This surgery would kickstart a new mindset in the artist, guiding her to share her talents for good once again. Since then, she has devoted her music to her communication with God. Her latest album is set to release in February 2023, and ‘Idea‘ offers a peek into this project. MaConny is certainly an artist to root for, possessing all the tools of a great artist that you won’t want to miss.
